This version of macaroni and cheese is rich with cheese, sour cream, and butter, but it’s great for a once-in-awhile treat or a special occasion.

Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).

A 9×13-inch baking dish should be sprayed with cooking spray.

Large pot of lightly salted water should be brought to a boil.

Cook elbow macaroni in boiling water for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until tender but still firm to the bite.

Pour the macaroni into the dish after draining.

To make a smooth mixture, combine the eggs, sour cream, salt, and pepper.

Stir in the Cheddar and Cheddar-Monterey Jack cheeses until well combined.

Pour over macaroni and thoroughly combine.

Add shredded processed cheese to the top of the casserole.

Pour melted butter over the casserole, paying special attention to the sides.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is bubbling.
