Turkey-Stuffed Peppers
This stuffed pepper dish, which is made with ground turkey and panko bread crumbs, is elevated by a cheesy roux sauce.
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
In a 1-quart baking dish, grease it.
Bring water in a big pot to a boil.
Cook peppers in boiling water for three minutes or until they are just beginning to soften; then drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
Drain grease from the turkey mixture after browning the ground turkey with the onions, mushrooms, and garlic in the hot oil.
Place the bowl containing the turkey mixture that has been drained back over the medium heat.
