Slow Cooker Pulled Pork with Root Beer
Root beer, brown sugar, and spices combine to create a super tasty pulled pork recipe that cooks up nice and moist in the slow cooker. Perfect for buffets or potlucks!

Dry off the pork shoulder and put it in the slow cooker.

Over the pork, pour root beer.

In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.

Sprinkle over the pork, then lightly rub to coat the entire surface.

Cook for five hours on low.

Turn the heat up to High and continue cooking for an additional 3 hours or until the meat is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

With two forks, carefully remove the pork and shred it.

To moisten the pork, drizzle some of the slow cooker’s liquid over it.
