Peas Rice
This is a very simple to make. Seasoned rice and peas make an excellent main meal. I am sure it will become a favorite once you try it.
Rice must be washed and drained.
Over a medium heat, preheat a saucepan.
Melt any butter or margarine before adding.
Add ginger, serrano chile, cloves, and cinnamon.
Stir-fry briefly.
Stir the rice to evenly distribute the mixture.
Peas, salt, and sugar are stirred in.
Add water, and then bring it to a boil.
Rice should be cooked for 15 to 20 minutes, covered, at a simmer, or until tender.
