Jessica’s Red Beans and Rice
A hearty meal with Southern influences features spicy red beans and sausage simmered in a flavorful tomato broth and served over steaming white rice.

Combine sausage with water, chicken bouillon, garlic seasoning, half an onion, half a green bell pepper, and half a jalapeno pepper.

French seasoning Combine red pepper flakes and bay leaf in a sizable stockpot.

Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced by half.

Add kidney beans, tomatoes, the last of the green bell peppers, the last of the jalapenos, and salt to the sausage mixture.

Stir frequently for 15 to 20 minutes or until the kidney bean mixture thickens after bringing to a boil.

Get rid of the bay leaf.

Prepare 6 serving bowls with 1/2 cup cooked rice, then top with kidney bean mixture.
