Homemade Pound Cake
A must-try pound cake recipe that’s sure to be a hit! It’s buttery, rich and delicious with a light, tender texture. Bake in your favorite Bundt pan.
Set the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees C).
Make a 12-cup fluted tube pan buttery and floured (such as Bundt).
Using a large mixing bowl and a medium speed, cream the butter and sugar for about 5 minutes, or until it is light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition for 45 seconds.
Beat for 30 seconds after adding vanilla extract.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
Mix the butter mixture with half of the flour mixture on low speed until just combined.
Beat on low speed while adding 1/2 cup milk until just combined.
Between each addition, use a spatula to scrape the bowl’s sides.
Repeat with the remaining milk and flour mixture.
