Grilled Apple and Swiss Cheese Sandwich
This recipe was given to me by my mother, and it has since become one of my go-to quick meals. Granny Smith apples and crunchy seed bread, in my opinion, work best.
Set a skillet to medium heat to preheat.
Apply a thin layer of olive oil to one side of each slice of bread.
Spread the apple slices out evenly on top of one slice of bread in the skillet with the olive oil side facing up.
The remaining piece of bread should be topped with the olive oil side up after the Swiss cheese has been spread over the apple.
Cook the sandwich until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown for 1 to 2 more minutes after flipping it over.
Cook the bread until it is golden brown.
