Gloria’s Lemon Brownies (Lemonies)
You’ll fall head over heels for these moist lemony treats after just one taste, whether you refer to them as lemon bars, lemon brownies, or “lemonies.”
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
An 8-inch square baking pan should be greased or lined with parchment paper or nonstick foil.
In a big bowl, combine flour, sugar, lemon zest, salt, and baking powder.
Butter, eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla extract should all be added.
Stir until combined.
Fill the pan with the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Spend about 30 minutes cooling completely on a wire rack.
In the meantime, combine confectioners’ sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a bowl to make the glaze.
When the glaze has hardened, about 20 minutes, pour it over the brownies and let them sit at room temperature.
Make 2-inch square cuts.
