Fresh Sugar Pumpkin Pie
Make homemade pumpkin pie without the cans by roasting fresh sugar pumpkins and following this recipe.
Set oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees C).
Aluminum foil should be used to line a baking sheet.
Lightly oil the foil.
Place the cut-sides-down pumpkin halves on the prepared baking sheet.
For about 40 minutes, bake in a preheated oven until the flesh is completely tender.
Place aside until it is safe to handle.
Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees C).
Put the pumpkin flesh in a sizable mixing bowl by scraping it.
Beat in the salt, pumpkin pie spice, flour, heavy cream, sour cream, demerara sugar, and pumpkin until smooth.
Fill the pie crusts with the pumpkin mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
