Deep Fried French Toast
When deep fried, French toast is crispy and golden brown on the outside, chewy on the inside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt.
After adding the flour, whisk in the milk until smooth.
To 375 degrees F, heat the oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan (190 degrees C).
Bread slices should be submerged in the egg mixture until the egg has reached the bread’s center.
Wipe away any extra egg.
To prevent crowding, cook in the deep fryer a few pieces at a time.
Cook for about 4 minutes, or until the center is no longer soggy and both sides are golden brown.
Before serving, drain the French toast on a plate lined with paper towels.
