Danish Oven Pancake (Aeggekage)
Traditional Danish oven pancakes called “Aeggekage” are frequently offered as buffet fare or as dessert at holiday meals with the family. With seasonal fresh berries and fresh whipped cream, it is a delicate, cake-like dish that is not overly sweet and is simply delicious! (Consider it to be an enhanced Yorkshire pudding.)
Eggs, milk, sugar, and salt are whisked together until smooth.
30 minutes should pass after you set the mixture aside and whisk in the flour until it is thoroughly combined.
Set oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 degrees C).
Butter should be melted before being brushed all over the interior of a hot 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
Place the dish in the preheated oven.
In a hot baking dish, pour the batter, and bake for 15 minutes.
Serve immediately with whipped cream and lemon juice after adding berries and confectioners’ sugar.
