Chocolate Lovers Fettuccine a la Mode
This luscious and romantic dessert tops chilled chocolate fettuccine pasta with chocolate whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and a drizzle of chocolate for the perfect end to a perfect dinner.
Cook the chocolate fettuccine for about 2 1/2 minutes, or until it’s tender but not mushy, in a large saucepan of boiling water.
Pasta should be drained and placed right away in a big bowl of ice water.
Allow to stand for about five minutes to become chilled.
Re-drain the pasta and toss in a bowl with a little canola oil to coat.
Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes until completely chilled.
In a small bowl, whisk the whipped cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder just enough to combine everything.
Divide the chocolate fettuccine among 4 dessert plates to make the desserts.
Put a dollop of chocolate whipped cream on each plate’s fettuccine.
Stack the whipped cream with half a cup of vanilla ice cream.
