Chocolate “I Scream” Cookie Sandwiches
In this straightforward recipe, Chef John uses white and dark chocolate to make spooky Halloween ghosts on chocolate chip cookies sandwiched with vanilla ice cream.
Four cookies are covered with melted dark chocolate on the flat side.
The cookies are lightly tapped to spread the chocolate.
Use a spoon or piping bag to shape white chocolate into a ghost shape while it is still wet.
If necessary, lightly tap the ghost again to smooth.
The dark chocolate background can be embellished with additional white designs if preferred.
For the eyes and screaming mouth, use melted dark chocolate; tap or shake again to level and smooth.
Allow chocolate to cool for at least one hour, or until it is firm to the touch.
