Black Bean and Walnut Burgers
With cooked sweet potato, walnuts, Fresno chile pepper, rolled oats, and flaxseed, these black bean burgers are hearty and nutty.
Add oats, flax seeds, cumin, paprika, salt, and ground cinnamon to the food processor along with the walnuts and process again until the oats are ground into a coarse powder.
Put the sweet potato and black beans in the bowl of the food processor; process until smooth before transferring to a mixing bowl.
The black bean mixture should be thoroughly combined with the egg, onion, Fresno chile, crimini mushroom, garlic, and soy sauce before being formed into 6 patties.
In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
Fry patties in oil for about 5 minutes per side, or until a deep-brown crust forms.
